After originally constructing White Water World in August 2006, Dreamworld approached ATW Group to assist with design and construction of the Wedgie. This project was completed extremely quickly with our prior experience in the structural steel design and fiberglass construction.

That’s the feeling you get when you step inside the launch chamber of WhiteWater World’s newest power slide, The Wedgie, cross your arms in near brace position and peer five storeys down. The wildest doom drop of them all, when the trap door triggers it’s a simple case of fast flesh on fibreglass as you plummet feet first down the translucent pipe and barrel through Australia’s only human half coil. At the splash down pool the Aussie Cossie braking system kicks in and the fast tug on cheeks gives “rise” to the slide’s bold name. The Wedgie is not for the faint hearted and it’s only on impact that you realise you’ve been “Wedgied by WhiteWater World”.
