ATW Group were engaged by Hansen Yuncken to provide structural steel fabrication, tilt panel and erection services for the new Coomera Indoor Sports Centre.

The project being undertaken by the Queensland Government to provide facilities for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Hosting the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, the new Coomera Indoor Sports Centre is multi-purpose, transitioning from netball and gymnastics in Games mode to a range of sports and community uses preceding and following the event.

With a single span of 82m created using exposed tubular steel columns and roof trusses, the centre accommodates eight combined basketball, netball and volley ball courts, a separate gymnastics arena, associated player change rooms, public amenities, staff and meeting rooms, and a kiosk/café, with 12 external floodlit netball courts.

Permanent spectator seating for 350 will expand to 7,600 with the addition of temporary seating.
